My Little Black Dress

Feeling excited when my friend invited me to her wedding dinner. I was searching for a dress to wear on that day but sad to see there isn’t any dress that could suit my apple-shaped body. 😦 Time is running out and I did not have time to shop around. Online shopping could not possible to reach me in time for any last minutes shopping.
Just as I was about to give up, the image of a black coloured dress that I wore when I was pregnant time suddenly flashes in my memory. I went on searching and, finally, I found it! Without any delayed, I put it on and found that it was just too lengthy on me. Oh no! I’m really looked like I’m expecting again!
I decided to change to a more desire length. Instead of cutting it short, I decided to sew some gathers at the sides of dress. It not only could shorten the length but also could create a more dreamy look with the outer lace on it. Not only that, it could also able to hide my flaws as now it draw the attention to my sides rather than my tummy! :p
Online purchase is getting more and more common nowsaday. It could save the time travelling there personally to purchase!
Personally I like to buy clothing online. It not only could save my time from travelling and also cheaper as some of the exchange rates are lower than compare to Sing dollar. However, prior to purchase, it is best to study the sizes, materials, the information provided to minimise buying something that is not what is expected earlier.
Honestly, I do make mistakes sometimes in my past purchases such as the sizes or the styles does not really match me. Often I would give them away to my friends that suit them. And the rest that still remains in my wardrobe, I would like to sew them to suit me instead. To increase my wardrobe selection at the same time.
To start with, I chose a blue blouse that I wear it occasionally when only there is limited choices. It makes my apple-shaped figure more obvious with it. It has an elastic waistline that will be ‘trapped’ above my waistline and the pleats above the elastic bands, flares out around my bustline, makes me look really plump with shorter upper body instead. Thus, I decided to go without the pleats and the elastic band. True enough, the end result of the blue blouse in the picture can really hide my flaws and I could wear it confidently now!
